Uninstalling Devices Client

Windows Uninstallation Guide

  1. Ensure you have the Devices Client Installer. If you have previously deleted the installer, go to to re-download it.

  2. Locate the previously downloaded installer file in your computer's folder directory.

    Administrator rights are needed to uninstall and either version of the installer will work.

  3. Open the Command Prompt as an Administrator.

    1. In your Window's Taskbar Search text box, enter Command Prompt.

    2. Locate the Command Prompt entry.

    3. Right-click on the Command Prompt entry and select Run as Administrator.

  4. In the command prompt, navigate to the directory where the installer file is saved.

  5. Verify that the device is not plugged in to your computer. If it is, unplug it.

  6. In the command prompt, enter either:

    DC-Installer.exe -uninstall
    java -jar DC-Installer.jar.txt -uninstall
  7. Restart the machine so Windows can remove old drivers.

  8. This will remove all certificates, drivers, and desktop icons

Mac Uninstallation Guide

  1. Click System Preferences.

  2. Click the Java icon.

  3. Click the General tab.

  4. In the Temporary Internet Files section, click View.

  5. In the Show drop-down list, select Applications.

  6. Right click the Card Swiper Services and select Delete.

  7. On the desktop, right click the Card Swiper icon.

  8. Select Move to Trash.
